over at craftster.org smmarrt organized an art doll swap. there are wonderful dolls in the gallery and you can find them all
HERE. i was crafting for ericas_tattoos who had some great art doll ideas on her questionnaire. two of those were "mermaid" and "frida kahlo". and it didn't take me too long to know what i wanted to make for her!
luckily frida kahlo has a very recognizeable face. im not a good artist as far as drawing goes but i was able to do this face using some micron markers. the body fabric came from Rock Paper Scissors which carries utterly fantastic fabric. the owner there has awesome taste.

Wow, these landscapes are true marvels. I hope I get the cahnce to see them up close some day.
