patchy summer headband

Ann Kelle has a  10 minute headband tutorial here. Instead of using one fabric, I went into my scraps and put together this patchy headband today. I'm going to go wider on the next go round: this is cut 3.5"--I'll add two inches.

I'm not usually big on florals, but I really like this red fabric.
a little ocean fabric to keep me cool.

taggie blanket

wonderfully simple tutorial over here at project nursery.

I went with longer ribbon strips than she did (I cut them at around 4" instead of 2") and went with 3 on each side instead of 4. Not quite as square as hers, no surprise there!

colorful wavy cotton fabric on one side

sweet soft fleece on the other side

nothing says homemade like twine!

I used three different fabrics for the outside...
and just one for the inside.

For an NHL Rangers Fan

My friend Cathy is a very enthusiastic Rangers' fan. While they were still in the running for the play-offs I sewed up a few things for her.  The polka dot fabric used for the handles was in my stash--nice color match!

Wallet with hockey fabric for the lining.

Hair scrunchies--easy peasy.
